Chromium (III) Oxide Cr2O3
A versatile pigment producing characteristic opaque green but producing red, khaki or yellow in presence of zinc. Incorporation with with tin produces pink (chrome-tin pink).
Raw colour of powder: Grass green
Colour responses after firing:
- Painted onto clay: Brown
- Painted onto bisque: Generally green
- Reduction firing: Generally no change
